Can you feel the music? Does it reach you and touch you in away that you have never experienced? Does it make you feel good? Does it bring out anger and a want for something more? Good music will do all of these things. If you're a music lover every different song by every different band will do these things to your mind. Releasing you into a world that has no borders or straight lines keeping us confined. A world where anything can be done.

Do you consider yourself a punk rocker? How about a lighthearted country and western fan? It doesn't matter; the only thing that matters is if you enjoy what you listen to. Music is the world language. It isn't supposed to be discriminated by race, religion or age. It's pure and unadulterated, it should touch you and inspire you and I'm not talking about being at a Grateful Dead concert in the 70's and being wacked out on acid seeing the music flowing towards you like mist in the air. Although I guess that can be fun to.

I think I would have to say my favorite genre is probably metal hip-hop the new kind. You know? Like Eminem, Korn, Limp Bizkit...and not to forget Rage among those lines. I like it because it makes me feel alive, giving me energy and getting the adrenaline pumping through my veins. But I also enjoy old Rock like the Doors (The best band of all time) The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and yes even CCR. I like it all. It doesn't need to be metal or hip-hop to be great in my books. I even enjoy country, probably most hated by young people in my age group. Songs like The Gambler by Kenny Rogers or Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash. It's good music. It makes me feel at peace with a great deal of comfort.

There are also lots I don't like, Namely Boy/Girl bands I think they're cheap and repetitive, but that is only one opinion by one man. You are entitled to your own of course.

I can never understand how some people can listen to a great song and not have it touch them, make them think, and become inspired all at the same time. So as I sign off on music just keep an open mind and let's see what it can do for you.
