![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BENIFETS OF MEDITATION Sit back in your most comfortable chair put on some easy listening music (preferably not Slipknot). Clear your mind, close your eyes and get ready for a journey. No, I'm not trying to hypnotize you. I'm just trying to open your mind to the positive effects meditating can have on your physical and mental health. Meditating you say "isn't that something that little old Japanese men do in their spare time?" Well meditation is something that originated in the oriental thousands of years ago. Since then and now people from all over the world meditate in some form or another. Everybody has a slightly different opinion of what meditation is. To some it's a way to escape your boring everyday reality and to slip off into a void far off in the depths of your mind. Some believe it's a way to look into the future, not necessarily the future on a global scale but more on a personal level. To others even men and women in the medical profession it can be a method of eradication against diseases. Some doctors actually promote the practice of meditation as a natural cure for some sickness. This is understandable too, because the human mind is still considered a great mystery. And with the intelligence that it may hold, if this could be properly utilized who's to say what wonders it could bring. And what better way to tap into this resource then through your own mind. Personally I'm not sure if I am totally convinced. But just imagine that inside your mind there is a key to unlock the cure to life's problems and society's ills. For the possibility alone, it's worth a shot. Besides, at the very least it could help you come to a deeply profound understanding of yourself and your own personal purpose you have for living. So as you kick back in your most comfortable chair with some lighthearted music playing in the background. Let yourself drift away, let yourself get immersed in your thoughts.
