Inspiration- An inspiring or being inspired mentally or emotionally. Any stimulus to creative thought or action, an inspired idea or action. Etc.

That's Webster's definition of inspiration. But what does it mean to you? Inspiration is something you can find anywhere you find yourself. The search for inspiration may be a long one. Sometimes it can also be difficult search. People look at inspiration as a form of strength, strength to do something they probably wouldn't have been able to do under any other circumstances. It could be the littlest thing or a life altering decision and/or idea.

Where do we find our inspiration? In this world everything that you come across in your whole entire life may inspire you to do something big or small. Different things, obstacles, people anything can give you ideas that you never had before. They can give you the courage to do something that you never ever thought you could do. The possibilities are endless.

Alcohol and marijuana can be in some cases a great source of inspiration. It can make you see things, everyday things in whole new light. This doesn't work for everybody of course. But there's lots of proof that it has worked for many people. Using musicians as an example, Think about Bob Dylan or Jim Morrison they have wrote some of the greatest songs ever to be heard by the world, and about 90% of them were probably written while they were partaking in some form of recreational drug or another. Now like I said this is not for everybody, and I'm not promoting drug use or alcoholism but I am saying it can open your eyes to things that you never thought were there. So yes Inspiration on an artistic level can come from high point of view no pun intended.

When writing I often run dry for ideas. Sometimes I come up with nothing, but other times just every day life can be overwhelming for ideas. It still shocks me how just something like an everyday drive to the store can give me ideas of something to write about. But I think I would have to say that my biggest source of Inspiration comes from people. The people you see everyday and the strangers that you hardly ever see. So the bottom line is inspiration can come from everything and nothing it is what you see, what you feel, and above all else how you live.
