What is the biggest driving force for mankind? Need a hint? In a word I think its greed. Greed can make any man or woman do things that normally he/she would not have done. Obviously the same holds true for corporations and huge companies. And more specifically multi-million-dollar pharmaceutical companies.

When you stop to think about how many viruses and diseases there are out there you may then think that it's a wonder that any of us are still kicking. Just imagine what money can buy when you have enough of it. For some of these companies what we know as being state of the art maybe 10 years old for these guys. And with technology aside, how many brilliant men and women do they have working for them, doing research on the diseases that kill our family and friends every day.

Every year billions of dollars are sunk into research projects searching for cures. But the thing that hinders advancement the most is not lack of money or lack of intelligent minds, but Greed. Greed stands in the way of true medical greatness, For every pharmaceutical company there is a race, who can develop the newest top of the line drug first? Who can cure the common flu? Who can find a treatment for AIDS or Cancer, anything for that matter?

Just imagine what cures there would be if the top pharmaceuticals could team up and work together. Many diseases could be eradicated from the face of the Earth. But alas this will never happen because Death/sickness and money are much more profitable than cures and life. I've said it before and I'll say it again it all comes down to the almighty dollar. Sad but true!
