![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() HIGH SCHOOL - HELL OR THE GLORY DAYS High school was many different things for so many different people. Some consider it to be their glory days best days of their lives. Others couldn't disagree more; some people hated high school, and couldn't be happier to be clear of it. When you get to high school it's like a new world opening up, more choices, more freedom, more responsibility, and higher level of maturity expected. Some people handle it well, others not so well. High school can be a very confusing time for teenagers. Everyone knows what I'm saying here, everybody's been there - some longer than others of course, and there are such a range of feelings that these days can bring to you. So I'm going to go ahead and tell you a bit about my high school. Don't worry it will be brief! I went to Musgravetown High. A small building with not a very many students, what you expect from small town Newfoundland?? For me it was never anything special, I went because I had to, just one of those things that was inevitable and unavoidable. Even though there were no strangers and everyone knew each other, there were of course the same social clicks. Like the jocks, brains, rockers or musicians, druggies, and so on. I'm not sure what one I fitted in I was never a jock I mean I played sports but not organized, and I was never overly good at any of them. I wasn't nerd - I used to go out in the nights and party like anyone else. And I still don't to this day have a musically inclined bone in my body but still given the choice that was the crowd I found myself hanging around with. And I didn't do drugs. So I was just out there in my own little circle with friends ranging in all the other circles. And that was high school life for me, more or less anyway. Like most people I can look back at those days and have some really fond memories. But there were also a lot of bad memories; memories of being picked on and tormented, something that many of us have went through at some point or another. But we all deal with it, and move on. So I guess all things considered it wasn't a bad point in my life. And sometimes given some of complicated situations I have been in the past 5 years, high school was sort of carefree and filled with good times. Not quite a fully blown glory days, but close enough.
