Remember this years Grammy’s? I’ve come to a realization from that night. I think it is pretty evident that female artists and sex appeal are linked closer than most would dare to believe.

Not to say that without the hot bodies to go along with the voice women wouldn’t make it in showbiz. That’s not my point. I just find it strange that every time you watch a female performer, she has on an outfit that leaves very little to the male’s imagination.

Jennifer Lopez, the bride of Latino music. She has good songs with a great voice. But she also has the body and looks to make pimps cry. Last year Brittney Spears had breast implants. Why? Her popularity was already booming. Could it be that she is hoping to attract the older men in the audience? Then she complains “I see a lot of older men in the audience now that kind of freaks me out”. I bet it do. What does she expect I can understand the perverts finding her attractive? Older men can love plastic too. What ever happen to Rita MacNeil? Beautiful voice, talented writer, and a big body.

Just one more example of how Sex sells. I guess it’s no longer about making good music.. its all about the appearances. So if you were to say that sex has nothing to do with selling a record check out some of our talented female performers and tell me what the first thing you noticed about them was. I doubt it was their ability to write good quality music.
