But in today's society it is more common than uncommon. Most people well read that line and agree. But just because something is common and well known, does that make it right?

The one night stand, what many people consider a good weekend night. Go to a bar dance with some girl or guy, getta a bit of a groove on, things get heated, lust kicks in and the next thing you know "boom shacka locka". Probably wake up the next morning feeling like shit, sayin to yourself "what the hell did I do last night?" Then you roll over and gaze at what's lyin next to ya. Oops, Coyote Ugly night. For those of you who don't know what is meant by that term, it's waking up next to someone where you would rather chew your arm off and leave then to wake them up.

Every now and again though, it may be considered more than it actually was. The girl could have a thing for the guy or vice versa. This creates all kinds of complications, especially if the feeling isn't a mutual one. So what do we do if we find ourselves in these situations? Tell the other to get the hell out, in a polite way of course. Or if you're at their place just sneak out before they wake up. Probably the most popular thing to do if it is seen as a mistake through clean and sober's eye. Chances are your hung over and the last thing you want right now is some in depth discussion on what conspired in those early morning hours. So sneak away, grab your clothes on the way and hail the first cab you see. How courageous?

It's fine I guess if the both of you are total strangers. But it's bad if you see each other on regular basis. Now, every time you run into one another, there will always be that uncomfortable silence that will deafen everyone around you. So you ask yourself was that one night worth all of what's happening now? I would have to say no. Although many will not agree with it. But that's it. For one thing every time you have one of these excursions you're placing your life in danger. Besides it could come down to wrecking a good relationship with someone you think a lot about. Who wants that?

So as for the one night thing. We have all done it, or at least wanted to do it. And chances are many of us will continue to do it. I can't imagine sex being that important anymore. It quickly loses its appeal when referring to this type of lay.
