Do you believe that the future can be accessed...before the day actually arrives? For centuries society has questioned fortunetellers - referring to them as bogus and as being frauds.

Perhaps so, at least every year there are one or two people coming forward with a new date for judgment day. When the world will witness the Armageddon. And everyone have seen the late night commercials for the psychic hotlines - they should change their name to "Give us a call we will ruin your life", because there is always someone finding out that their spouse is cheating on them or some other form of misdirected ill behavior. So I have to say personally I think it may be bullshit, a few people out to make a buck. “Call now for free, the number is 1-900” Look familiar?

But maybe there is some fact or truth to some prophecies. Michel de Nostradame of France or better known as The Prophet Nostradamus. Made some stunning predictions in his time. Many of which has come true. Nostradamus made his predictions in the form of four lined verses which were called “quatrains” These were poetic in their statements meaning they require thought and speculation to figure out what the prophet was predicting. Experts on these quatrains have translated them into English from French. Nostradamus is said to have predicted events like the deaths of brothers “The Kennedy’s” in quatrain 95 the brothers. He has also predicted events such as the rise and fall of Napoleon and the two World Wars.

Because the quatrains were kind of poetic in their wording the actual meanings may vary. The quatrains are also vague in description, which leads me to believe that after looking at past major events in our history you can match them up to the predictions. So in a sense he may have just looked at the future and took an intelligent guess at what will happen as civilization grew and technological advances were made.

It is questionable to believe in prophets and the predictions they make. But as time goes on it depends on how close these predictions come to reality.
